What is the ID Network?

The ID Network works for a more unified ID administration in Norway. It is one of four areas of commitment of the Norwegian ID Centre. The network was established in September 2013, and the Norwegian ID Centre is the secretariat of the network. The ID Network meets every six months.

The ID Network comprises 18 agencies and organizations. The network is a meeting place for exchenge of experiences, dialogue and collaboration, and provides effective knowledge transfer regarding challenges, strategies and measures within the field of ID.

The goals of the ID Network are:

  • To work for a unified ID administration in Norway to prevent crime and thus reduce the threats against the welfare state.
  • To strengthen competence, collaboration and communication within in ID work, including e-ID, in both public and private sector.
  • To stimulate learning and development work in the field of ID, and at all levels of ID administration
