Mass produced high quality counterfeits of residence permits
Following an initiative from the intelligence collaboration between NID, National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS), analysts and document examiners from NID and NCIS have uncovered mass-produced high-quality counterfeits of residence permits.

In these reports, we present a document technical analysis and a tactical overview of the uncovered documents, as well as how the production is linked to organized crime. Additionally, the Norwegian ID Center has issued an alert regarding these counterfeits.
The work is based on two action days carried out in March 2023, involving participants from NCIS, the Norwegian ID Center, other police districts and specialized agencies.
