Strategy 2021-2023

Norwegian ID Centre shall supply tools and services contributing to an improved quality of ID-related work in society, and has a particular responsibility for serving the police and immigration administration.

We shall monitor the development of our profession, keep up a close dialogue with our users and be up to date in our knowledge through surveying and evaluations. Through this, we shall also contribute to securing an ever more solid foundation for targeted crime prevention work.

Norwegian ID Centre has identified the following strategic goals for the period 2021-23:

ID collaboration

Through dialogue with our collaborating partners, we shall establish a joint understanding of the challenges linked to ID work in order to develop relevant products and services.

This we shall achieve by:

  • Keeping up a regular contact and coordination with the strategic leadership
  • Further developing national and international collaboration
  • Be a coordinating instigator of professional development and method development in the ID field
  • Keeping close contact with our users and facilitate exchenge of experience and needs.

ID evaluation and serveying

In collaboration with our partners, we shall analyse ongoing ID work in order to identify and recommend measures of improvement.
We shall take an active part in professional and policy formation

This we shall achieve by:

  • Carrying out evaluations and analyses.
  • Surveying and risk-assessing the current and future challenges and opportunities within the ID field.

ID collaboration

To strengthen our competence and the basis for decisions in our users, we shall further develop our tools and services and make them more accessible and user-friendly.

This we shall achieve by:

  • Keeping a constant focus on innovation
  • Offering relevant ID support, guidance and training.
  • Expanding our own expertise and implementing measures that will enable us to meet the challenges within the ID field.
